Microsoft Windows offers a variety of accessibility options to make operating a computer easier for all of us! Highlighted below are my personal top 5 accessibility options which you may find beneficial.
Accessibility Tip #5:
Want to make everything BIGGER or smaller? Simply adjust the screen resolution! Do this by right clicking on your desktop, click Properties, click Settings tab. Then simply adjust the slider bar. To increase the size of everything move the slider bar to the left.

Accessibility Tip #4:
Have trouble locating the cursor within a Microsoft Office document? Simply adjust the cursor size! Click Start – Settings - Control Panel – Accessibility Options - Display and adjust the cursor width.

Accessibility Tip #3:
FilterKeys – adjust the keyboard response so accidental repeated keystrokes are ignored or slow the rate at which a key repeats. Access Filterkeys through Start – Settings -Control Panel – Accessibility Options - Keyboard tab – Filterkeys.

Accessibility Tip #2:
Need to adjust the sensitivity with the double click speed of the mouse? Click Start – Settings - Control Panel – Accessibility Options - Mouse – Buttons Tab

Accessibility Tip #1:
Ever loose track of that little tiny white mouse cursor? Why not make it bigger or a different color? Change the pointer scheme through Start – Settings – Control Panel – Mouse – Pointer Tab and click the dropdown arrow to select a different Pointer Scheme.

To access the full range of Microsoft Accessibilty options click Start – Settings – Control Panel. Then click on either Accessibility Options, Mouse, Keyboard, Display or Sounds pending your need. There are a variety of features built into the Windows operating system to accommodate the visual, auditory, and physical needs of computer users.
