Did you hear that LCPS just recently increased the availability of the News-2-You newspaper subscription to include all teachers of students with intellectual disabilities (in addition to all Speech-Language Pathologists)? This wonderful online resource is a perfect complement to the existing curriculum for supporting struggling readers and communicators. Not familiar with News-2-You? Well then, let me introduce you! News-2-You is a universally designed online newspaper (new edition available every Thursday) that presents fun and motivating reading material for students who need information presented in a visual manner. The newspaper includes current events and news from around the globe and is available in 3 different reading level formats to support all ages and ability levels. Papers can be downloaded, printed and/or copied by the user (teacher and/or SLP) for use by all students within the respective classrooms. Included with the News-2-You subscription is the following:
